manpowerFull-service employment agency Manpower will be using Rostar CAS of Paralax Planning Solutions for the planning of its temporary workers in Belgium. Three years ago, both organisations signed a framework agreement as part of which Manpower opted for Rostar CAS software as the internal standard for the Dutch organisation. The personnel planning software will now also be implemented at Manpower Belgium, with the first key account expected to go live in October 2011.

In addition to a supplier, Manpower Belgium was also looking for a partnership to provide a framework for the entire pool management, ranging from fixed to flexible and occasional staff, in order to solve the planning issues surrounding its temporary workers. As part thereof, the software needed to be flexible and user-friendly, with the option to attune it differently to each individual Manpower client.  The software solution was found in Rostar CAS of Paralax. Today the software is also the default standard in the temping industry, with thirteen of the largest temporary employment agencies using this software.

Diddens, commercial manager Belgium: “In the temping sector, staff planning is more important than ever before. The margins are under severe pressure, combined with an ever-changing demand for labour and increasing turnaround among staff. Temping agencies and their clients are looking for ways to save costs and at the same time guarantee the highest possible service levels and staffing capacity to meet variable client demand. In addition, clients are looking for innovative solutions in order to increase the added value of their temp. Practice shows that the deployment of Rostar CAS software generates a considerable increase in planning and personnel optimisation. In addition, the software makes it possible to automate a large part of the communication with and coordination of temporary workers via web modules and SMS.”

Bruno Van Oostveldt, IT Front Office Team Manager and responsible for Product Support at Manpower Belgium: “Today, companies manage their flexibility in real time. In other words: employers adjust the speed at which they recruit according to development in the demand for their products or services and in the macro-economic situation. For example, our pool management has become a vital part of the solutions we offer to our clients. Within the current complex structures of the client, guaranteed staffing capacity on the basis of Excel sheets is no longer feasible. After the positive experiences of our clients and colleagues in the Netherlands, we expect Roster CAS to vastly improve our efficiency.”
